New Prices in Effect for 2025

• Exams cost $8.00 each for schools in the United States and Canada.
  • A handling fee of $15.00 will be added to orders of 1-10 exams.
  • A handling fee of $25.00 will be added to orders of 11 or more exams.
• Exams cost $10.00 each for schools outside the United States and Canada.
  • Schools outside the United States and Canada must register for and take the exams online.
  • Payment must be made in US funds only, drawn off a US bank.
  • A handling fee of $50.00 will be added to all orders outside the United States and Canada.
• Purchase orders are NOT accepted in lieu of check or money order.
   

Over the last 4 years, the NLE has worked hard to keep our exam financially healthy in the face of decreasing enrollment in Latin and pandemic-related issues. We have weighed many options as well as polling you, the NLE participants, about our services, awards, etc. Thank you to the over 1100 people who participated in our recent surveys. 

It is clear that you want us to keep our high level of service and advocacy in the field of Latin. Inflation, however, has taken its toll on our current fee structure. We are therefore announcing an increase in our exam fees to take effect for the 2025 exam. This is our first increase in 5 years and we hope it will allow us to move forward without sacrificing our services, awards, or robust scholarship program.

While we know this change may present challenges for some schools, we want to remind teachers of our Title I grants for schools with lower-income students.

The NLE takes our mission of celebrating students and supporting teachers very seriously. We thank you for your continued support for the exam and for keeping Latin alive in the classrooms of the world!
